Through various forms: photography, digital imagery, mixed media collage, do-it-yourself sculpture and installation, artists reflect upon and at times mimic urban scenarios while offering insight, and providing a platform for negotiating these contemporary states of being. From 7:00 pm to midnight, teens are welcome to participate in three free art workshops: Sculpture from 7:00 to 8:30, Life Drawing (with a clothed model) from 8:45 to 10:15, and Printmaking from 8:30 to midnight. All workshops are taught by professional artists with a wealth of experience to share. No materials are required!
This year the Art Fusion Festival will take place at at Mel Lastman Square, Toronto on Sat. May 4th. The festival will attract an attendance of 3,000 people based on the record of 900 people attending last Art Fusion on Jan 19, 2013 (see information below). It will showcase local talents across the arts spectrum, from painters to acrobats, musicians to performance dancers. ART Fusion currently unites 15 art/music collectives from Toronto and GTA area, where artists can join and perform for free. Our Mission is to offer an OPEN STAGE for: any type of performance any artist to showcase ARTWORK for FREE any Collective to JOIN IN Milestone: the Art Fusion event on Jan 19, 2013 @ Daniels Spectrum brought together more than 800 people and over 200 artists performed.
