Since 2001, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia has been collaborating with Phoenix Youth Programs, a non-profit community based organization in Halifax that offers a variety of programs for at-risk and homeless youth between 16 and 24 years of age.
Every Thursday evening, young people meet at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for a light dinner and drop-in studio program. During NYAW, join youth from the AGNS Phoenix Art Program for a drop-in open studio. This will be an opportunity for youth participating in the AGNS-Phoenix Art Program to share their art and knowledge of various art making techniques with other youth from the community. This informal session will use various materials and will take place with guidance from professional artist, Heather Wilkinson.
