Local businesses in the downtown core of Belleville will be displaying art pieces in their storefront windows for the month of May. All of the art pieces will be created and submitted by local students in the Quinte Region. An art walk tour will be coordinated to view all of pieces.

This exhibition features photographs by youth from the Weston-Mount Dennis community. In partnership with the Outreach Program at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, the young artists explore representation and self-expression through photography. UrbanArts is a non-profit community arts council focused on enhancing neighbourhoods by engaging youth in community development through the arts. UrbanArts initiates arts activities that bring people together in central-west Toronto and citywide.

Students from schools in our community have been invited to participate in a Community Youth Mural on a prominent wall in our location. The Mural is entitled, "It Takes A Village" and the topic theme for students work to be based on is how their community has influenced their lives. A local business has generously donated the paint for this work to be done. Students from grades Primary to 12 will be involved.
